GCCA Launches Innovandi Open Challenge 2025

The Global Cement and Concrete Association (GCCA) and its member companies invite startups from around the world to apply for this year’s Innovandi Open Innovation Challenge.

Now in its fourth year, the Open Challenge is the GCCA’s accelerator that partners start-ups with association members to develop technologies and innovations to help the cement and concrete sector decarbonize.

“Advanced production methods, which are decarbonizing our sector are already being used in cement and concrete production in many parts of the world. Through the Innovandi Open Challenge, startups can bring in even newer ideas and further accelerate our industry’s push,” said Thomas Guillot, chief executive of the GCCA.

“We’re calling on the best and the brightest from around the world to join us in the urgent fight to limit global warming and help towards delivering net-zero concrete. If you are a startup from anywhere in the world with an innovative idea or technology, then we want to hear from you,” he said.

The Open Challenge is looking for startups from around the world working on next-generation materials toward net-zero concrete, e.g. low-carbon admixtures, supplementary cementitious materials (SCMs), activators or binders.
